The hate crime in Charleston, SC

Nine innocent lives were taken on June 17th, 2015 in Charleston, South Carolina. Why? Why did this happen? The better question is: why did we let this happen? Everyone in this country claims people are free. Fox News even once said that “racism doesn’t exist in this country.” If that’s true, why do things like this happen? Here’s the truth: racism is everywhere; its integrated into society today and we don’t even notice it.
Those inncent nine worshippers did not know that the end was coming for them. Why did it have to come anyway? That gunman had absolutely no reason or right to perform the hate crimes he did, and he shouldn’t have done them. As a country, I hope we mourn for the lost lives of the innocent, and pray that crimes like this stop. This country is called The United States of America. So let’s stand as a United State to stop rasicm.

To those families, I’m sorry for your losses. Bless you for your strength and courage, and you are in my prayers.

Father’s Day

I know I’m about a week late with this post, but I absolutely need to write about Father’s Day (which was 6/21/15). The word family is also an acronym for: Father And Mother I Love You. Moms and Dads need to be celebrated everyday, not just for the big sacrifices they make, but for the small ones as well. We may get upset with our parents about things that don’t go our way, but we need to keep in mind that love is kind and patient.
Parents give us unconditional love, even if they don’t tell us that every minute of the day. This Father’s Day, I hope everyone told their Dad what their love means to them, because none of us will be around forever. Thank you Dad for all the love you give us, the things you do for us, and the way you care for us. Dads would give their world for us, that is how much they care.
To my own Dad, I’m sorry I don’t tell you as often as you deserve to hear this, but you mean the world to me.

I’m the PixieChick, the BookFairy’s best friend. I’m going to be blogging with her! Occasionally I’ll blog about books, but I’ll be talking about other stuff. I’ll basically talk about anything, politics, entertainment, school, advice, you name it, just request it! I’ll be adding some pages to the blog to separate the BookFairy’s awesome book reviews and my hopefully awesome-as-well posts. If you need to contact me you can email: Enjoy the blog!

Epic 2: Outlaw Trigger by, Lee Stephen

They say every man has a breaking point-every man can be pushed off the edge. Scott Remington entered EDEN with the heart of a lion. He forged glory in the furnace of war. But on the heels of dawn, darkness awaits. Only when stretched to the limit will a man truly learn who he is. That limit is about to be breached. Lines will be crossed. Sides will be chosen. And faith will be put to the test. Will the righteous prevail?

This is the fast paced sequel to dawn of destiny and in my opinion this book is even better then the first! The character development was amazing, you really got to know the caracter through this book. Moreover as this book is an action thriller you blood and guts junkies get more then enough of that! This book has more themes centered outside the war then the first novel which adds to the development of the series while still keeping it w gory war front action packed Novel. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, every page was filled with more and more Juicy little tidbits that had you hooked and kept you turning. So if you have not read the first book, Dawn of Destiny, and you’re a stickler for a good action book, go pick it up right way! However; if you have read the first novel and loved it even half as much as I did you need to go pick up Outlaw Triger! Enjoy!

Dawn of Destiny, by Lee Stephen

Some men go to war for the glory. Some men go to war to escape. For Scott Remington, war is entirely different. It is a belief. It is a calling. It is a destiny. Leaving everything behind-his fiancée, his future, his life-he embarks on a mission of faith into a battle he can barely understand. This is his story. This is his war. This is only the beginning.

For all those syfy alien loving book readers out there this book is defiantly for you! It’s packed with action and aliens and has a very well developed plot. I had the pleasure of being sent the audio book and at first I wasn’t a fan of the narrorators tone but soon got used to the cool calm demeanor of his voice. The story has strong vivid imagery that places you in the midst of battle along with the carachters. This book has tones of military, action, aliens, suspence and so much more and I recommend picking it up and or listening to the audiobook! I look forward to reading the second installment in this series
